"Youth is much too valuable to be wasted on the
young."
After a lifelong career in classical music, East-Coast vocalist Diane Alcorn successfully turned to popular standards in 1992, beginning with a series of concert performances that opened the door to a lively career as a highly respected jazz-cabaret performer and recording artist on the Toronto scene.
The intervening years have seen Diane emerge as a consummate interpreter of the American Popular song, becoming a beloved entertainer in Canada's top music market.
Diane released her first Standards-CD, "the Second Time Around" in 2000, garnering her an ECMA (East Coast Music Award) Nomination for Jazz Artist/Group of the year. "I Wish You Love" was released in 2004, and her latest release is entitled "The Trouble with Love" (2005). |
